Chainmail Sleeve and Shoulder Panels – Darkened Mild Steel Flat and Round Rings – DISCONTINUED

This set of shoulder and sleeve mail armor is constructed from dome-riveted round rings which alternate with solid flat rings. The individual mild steel rings are blackened and measure 9 mm in diameter and 18 gauge in thickness. These sleeves are intended to sewn onto a gambeson and worn beneath plate armor where these add-on sleeves can add protection in the gaps of the plate armor. These panels could also be used as a shortcut to adding extra armor onto a mail vest or haubergeon. You should expect to have to modify it by adding or subtracting links to get a good fit and alignment with the original armor.
