DANA Aluminum Voiders – Dome Riveted Round Rings and Alternating Flat Rings – Close Out – Lord of Battles

Voiders are panels of mail that are intended to be sewn and fitted to a gambeson or a leather armor to cover the torso sides, armpit, and inside part of the upper sleeve. This adds protection in areas that are often overlooked, and will put chainmail protection in places that cannot be covered by plate armor when it is worn over the gambeson. These voiders are crafted from links of aluminum. Half the rings are round and the rest are flat rings, with the round rings being riveted rings that alternate with the solid rings. Because they are aluminum these voiders weigh substantially less than standard steel chainmail. Voiders do not have to be used in conjunction with plate armor, they can also be used to add protection to a gambeson or a leather armor piece on its own.
