Out of box review Got this just the other day, intend it for SCA combat. Overall, very happy with it. Done a few drills, and it needs to be remembered that a 2′ shield is not a buckler anymore. This is a right proper dark age shield, and I look forward to giving it a more abusive test. Came out of the box with a little oil to protect it from rust during travel. Not hard to wipe off, but I live in a beach town in Oregon, so I’ll probably just leave it on.
