Two clutch solenoid valves are used in the Audi S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, one for each clutch circuit. They control the hydraulic pressure required to engage and disengage the clutches, ensuring smooth and precise shifting. A defective valve can cause symptoms such as rough gear changes, delayed engagement, clutch slippage, or loss of drive in one gear set.
