The engine speed sensor measures the rotational speed of the shaft transmitting power from the engine to the transmission and sends this data to the control unit. A faulty sensor can cause incorrect speed signals, resulting in warning messages, reduced drivability, or improper gear engagement. Attention: This part was removed from an original, factory-new mechatronic unit. The unit is supplied by the transmission manufacturer with a protective oil film. Accordingly, the part may show traces of oil that do not result from prior use.
