The Whiteside 5125H is designed for one job: move material fast while keeping the cut stable and predictable. This 3-flute up-cut spiral uses a roughing geometry that breaks chips into smaller pieces so the cutter can maintain feed rates without packing chips in the kerf. The result is smoother machine operation and efficient stock removal when roughing hardwoods, plywood, and other dense materials on CNC routers. Compared to standard spiral end mills, roughing spirals reduce cutting pressure by interrupting the chip. This allows higher feed rates and helps prevent heat buildup when removing larger volumes of material. This tool is ideal for roughing passes before a finishing tool, or for jobs where ultimate edge finish is less critical than speed and chip evacuation.
