Good sparring buckler I got this buckler in the mail, and have used it to defend against daggers, falchions, longswords, and spears during sparring. It has taken some serious hits with no dents, but a few scratches. The handle does look and feel like a bar used to support a desk in a school, but nothing is wrong with it so far. The plates that are riveted on the front are good at binding blades, especially when blocking a thrust. It weighs 2 pounds and 7 ounces by my scale, similar to an arming sword. All in all, a good buckler.
