Lord of Battles – Shield Boss – 12 Gauge – Antiqued, hand-hammered appearance

This heavy-duty shield boss is crafted from 12 gauge steel. Itl has been darkened for an antiqued appearance – Hammer-marks have been added to give it a roughened, hand-forged appearance. Does not come with shield mounting hardware. Historically, a good shield boss protects the hand from attacks that may split or penetrate the wood of a shield. It also strengthens the shield overall, particularly when used in conjunction with strong metal bands over the face and rim of the shield.
