Medieval Heater Shield – Black Griffon on Yellow Field – Deepeeka

This Medieval Heater shield is emblazoned with a hand-painted sable Griffon over a field of yellow. The shield has a core of Poplar wood and it is overlaid in tightly bound linen before it was painted. The back of the shield has a padded cushion of leather to give the arm some protection from impacts. The shield is finished with a set of riveted leather straps for the arm, as well as a longer strap for bearing it over the shoulder.
